OK! After a few false starts on a Buildathon kit, I finally arrived at a workable FUN kit. We will be building a version of my RF Monitor kit only it will reside inside a cigar box instead of a tuna can. You can check out the link below to see the tuna can version in action. Basically, you insert it in the RF output line to the antenna. It *sniffs* RF and if there is enough RF to trigger it (Transmitting) it will light up a couple of ultra-bright LEDs. You can use the LEDs to light up an *ON THE AIR* sign you construct but in this Buildathon kit, it will be a vacuum tube on top of the cigar box. Key down and the vacuum tube lights up bright while key up leaves only an orange *filament LED burning*....
