A BRASS Set is a set of machined solid brass cubes each with a slot for sliding it over the edge of a circuit board and a tapped hole for threading a nylon thumbscrew which acts as both a board clamp and a *leg* for holding the pcb up off the bench. My friendly machinist retired from making these AND all my other custom machined products...SO I had to find another option. Other machine shops came back with *INSANE* prices for my products so I had to take another route.
My new pcb holders: An x-BRASS Set is now 3D printed. I can get them cheaper so I*m passing on the savings! The original Brass Sets were $17 for a set of 4 holders. The new x-Brass sets are now $12 for a set of 4 pcb holders!
Three or four of these cubes are clamped around the edge of a board to both stabilize it when it is turned over for soldering and to provide clearance for all the parts already soldered to the pcb.
