In 1992, Oleg Borodin, RV3GM, submitted his Micro80 minimalist transceiver to G-QRP Club's SPRAT magazine. It was the forerunner of the Pixie2 transceiver. Fast forward to today and it is now the 20th anniversary of the original design... QRPme has created kit based on an updated version of the little transceiver circuit. New features include: high OR low impedence headphone capability, polyvaricon tuning cap and board mounted connectors. Another interesting feature of the Micro80D kit is that all the RF transistors are American while the audio transistors are Russian. Partial proceeds from the kit will be donated to the QRP Club "72".
