Kit design was finished just before my 1st ASR tour event. Kits kitted while on the road and 1st sold at Ozarkcon 2026. I made a few refinements in parts after I returned home from the trip and started shipping early in May...the actual 50th anniversary month of the actual introduction of the TT2 in the May 1976 issue of QST.
I*ve been really busy with a big New England hamfest and preparations for the Buildathon at FDIM. I have posted preliminary documentation on the kit and have more documentation in the works right now. The kit was designed for easy assembly as most parts are called out on the pcb by their actual values instead of designators so for instance a set of pads will be marked 10K instead of R22. You don*t have to find R22 in the parts list to figure out what to install in the pads. You do have to know your color codes and capacitor markings in order to find the right parts efficiently. Monolithic capacitors use numbers instead of colors but it works the same. A cap marked 104, for example, would have a value of 1, 0 and then an added 4 zeros so 10 + 0000 or 100,000 pf or .1uf
